Button up shirts are essentially buttoned tops with a collar. Sleeves can be short or long. Fit can range between perfectly tailored, draped, or even oversized. Fabrics and materials are typically woven, and usually formal or “dressy”. Cotton or plaid shirts, despite their much more casual, relaxed appearance, have grown to become very popular during the colder months. Shirts can be masculine but are not necessarily so.
